Beautiful red and green apples, sweet and crisp, all begging to be mixed and cooked and snacked on while strolling past rows of changing leaves. It’s a romantic film, and I’m into it.

What Can I Add To My Smoothie For Weight Loss?

To kick off our apple season on a healthy note, today I have a nutritious, low-calorie apple smoothie to toast the coming season.

This is the perfect apple recipe right now. Like my favorite green apple avocado smoothie, it’s cool and refreshing; Still perfect for a warm September day.

However, the flavor profile is different. This Vanilla Apple Smoothie is spiced in a warming way that feels right at home and hints at fall days (and, of course, fall desserts!) to come.

I took flavor inspiration for this apple smoothie recipe from my absolute favorite vegan apple crisp. Like that recipe, this is pure fall comfort, but done in a healthy way!

Apple Cinnamon Smoothie (high Protein!)

You don’t need to peel apples to make an apple smoothie. In fact, I recommend not peeling apples, because the peel contains vitamins, fiber and nutrients.

The flavors of apple pie blended into a healthy apple smoothie! Rich, creamy and vegan, it’s made with apples, oatmeal, peanut butter and spices (no yogurt!)

Hi, I’m Erin Clark, and I’m fearlessly dedicated to making affordable, easy-to-prepare, and best of all, healthy food. I am the author and recipe developer of Here and The Well Plated Cookbook. I adore sweets and vegetables and I aim to save you time and dishes. Welcome! When I was younger I struggled with getting enough daily fiber intake. That really changed after I started putting more emphasis on health and nutrition as I got older. Nowadays, I know for sure how important it is to make sure you’re getting enough fiber on a daily basis. That’s why I love smoothie recipes like the fiber-rich Green Apple Smoothie, which is also great for sustained weight loss. It’s a great way to load up on fiber because it’s made with a blend of ingredients that not only provides a solid dose of dietary fiber, but also essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The high fiber content of this green apple smoothie is the main reason why it is so useful as a weight loss tool because you will definitely feel happy and satisfied after making it.

We’ve all heard the saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” It’s actually not too far off the mark. Green apples are rich in both antioxidants and dietary fiber. They are a good source of vitamin C. Of particular note to this recipe is that one study found that daily consumption of both apples and pears led to increased weight loss in overweight women. (1) When you consider that the flavonoids in apples can help reduce your risk of developing several types of chronic diseases, such as cancer and diabetes, an apple a day certainly seems like a good idea.

When you make this smoothie in the form of rolled oats and flax seed meal, you mix in two other great sources of fiber. Both of these ingredients not only provide a ton of fiber, but are also a great way to boost your heart health. Flaxseed is incredibly rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which provide numerous benefits for your heart and entire cardiovascular system. (2)

Meanwhile, rolled oats offer some powerful benefits when it comes to weight loss. They are known to lower the bad LDL type of cholesterol while improving weight management and blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes patients. (3) Adding both of these fiber-rich ingredients to this smoothie will definitely pay dividends.

Speaking of fiber-rich ingredients that provide numerous other health benefits, this recipe also uses ½ cup of frozen raspberries. Raspberries are a good source of fiber, with 100 grams of berries providing 7 grams of fiber. They are an incredible source of antioxidants and polyphenols that help reduce your risk of diseases like cancer, diabetes, obesity and Alzheimer’s. (4)

All the above ingredients are undoubtedly the main sources of dietary fiber used to make this delicious smoothie. However, you also add some other great ingredients that help round things out and make the smoothie more rounded. As with our other smoothie recipes, you’ll use water and ice for the liquid base. Additionally, you add ½ cup of cottage cheese to increase the protein and fat content. And last but not least, a combination of fresh dates, vanilla extract and a pinch of nutmeg are thrown in to enhance the overall flavor and finish off the recipe. Creme Strawberry Apple Smoothie Milk, yogurt, honey and fresh and fresh & frozen fruit. This refreshing smoothie is a great twist on the classic strawberry smoothie and is sure to become a family favorite!

If you’re like me, you probably enjoy smoothies year-round. We can’t go a day without making a smoothie or two. They are healthy, quick, tasty and nutritious. They are packed with tons of vitamins, calcium and fiber. My kids love them as an alternative to ice cream and I couldn’t be happier with the fact that they take Smoothie Overscream!

I have tried several different combos for smoothies. If you can name it I think I might have tried it now or then. One of my favorite simple combinations is apple and strawberry.

To begin, add all the fruits to the blender. Add the milk, yogurt, and honey, and whisk for about a minute or two, or until smooth and creamy.

After last week’s crazy snow, yes early September snow, we are back to temperatures in the 80’s. I wasn’t prepared for the winter weather that hadn’t even started in fall. One of my favorite parts about fall is apples!

Making this apple cinnamon smoothie is no different than making any other smoothie. Start by coring and dicing the apple. Peeling the apple is up to you, but certainly not necessary. Add it to your blender along with the diced frozen banana. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix everything until smooth.
