Recently my day became hectic again, and I found this smoothie to be the perfect solution for all my morning needs. It’s a popular breakfast option right now – because it’s so easy to make, it’s quite nutritious, and it’s full of greens and avocado. Great breakfast when you’re in a hurry.

Avocado Smoothie With 3 Ingredients

And if you’re wondering about the taste of avocado or greens in this smoothie, don’t worry. The flavor is mixed with sweet banana and vanilla. It’s a great smoothie to have throughout the day.

Making this healthy avocado smoothie is totally easy. It will take you no more than 5 minutes. All you need is a good blender.

Make it banana-free: Bananas are added for natural sweetness so if you omit the banana, you’ll need to add some extra sweetener. look”

Make it keto: Eliminate bananas. Use the whole avocado. Add 1 tablespoon of MCT oil or collagen (optional). Alternatively use ½ cup of almond milk and ½ cup of coconut cream. You need to add sweetener. I recommend liquid stevia or another liquid low-carb sweetener. Cristal low carb sugar will not work here. Omit the beeswax as a topping.

This smoothie uses banana as a natural sweetener. I don’t recommend adding extra sugar. But if you find the smoothie is not sweet enough, you can add some. Beware of you.

Silky Banana Avocado Smoothie (dairy Free)

I know many people either like or dislike bananas… there seems to be no middle ground in this fruit. Yet they shine in this smoothie, adding just enough sweetness to balance out the avocado. Bananas also contain antioxidants and folate, which keep us healthy and energized.

If bananas aren’t your cup of fruit, then substitute 1/2 cup of mango, or 1/2 cup of peaches. You can use any kind of avocado you can find, just know that if it’s big, you may need 1/4 of the avocado instead of half. If you’re all out of spinach, any leafy green can be substituted.

I know you feel me on this one. You buy a bag of unripe avocados and it seems like they never ripen, until BAM! they ripen all at once. This is more than you can eat at once. What to do? Avocados are an amazing fruit to freeze, probably because of their healthy fats. (When frozen, they make a delicious avocado banana smoothie like the one below)

Mango Pineapple Banana Smoothie

Freeze the avocado on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, then transfer it to a freezer-proof bag or other airtight container. Frozen avocados will keep for up to six months or more in the deep freezer, or several months in the regular freezer.

Once the avocados are ripe enough, they can also be stored directly in the refrigerator where they will stay good for a few more days. Unripe avocados can also be refrigerated and brought to the counter to ripen at room temperature. Although room temperature avocados work well in this avocado banana smoothie, I think frozen ones add a little something extra to this mix.

I hate mixing our green smoothies with dairy products. But while I prefer not to, it’s really about doing what best suits your lifestyle.
