“It should be just what you paid for. That’s what we need,” said Kevin Schiffner and his wife, Teresa. “That’s what we’re asking for.”

That was eight months ago and she says her teeth are still not straight. He and his wife reached out to the Whistleblower Hotline in search of answers.

The couple makes the two-hour trip to Fargo several times a month. In need of help, they found comfort in a dentist with Fargo-Moorhead Dental & Dental Care.
“Dentist is great, great and thorough. He answered all of our questions,” she said. “We saw him in October. That was the last time. Then we came back in the first part of December.”
After six months of dating and traveling, Kevin was finally able to get new teeth. But when the Schiffners showed up for the big day, they were shocked to learn that their doctor and staff had left without warning.
“You get comfortable with a particular dentist or doctor,” Teres said. “This is the man you want to work with.”

No one could tell the Schiffners where their doctor and staff had gone. They decided to try and complete the job with a new crew.
“We paid $15,000 up front to do it, and that was all inclusive,” he says. “Now we will be paid. We already owe about $4,400. “
After some searching, we found that the original Schiffners doctor and staff had opened in a new location. Employees say they were all fired from Fargo-Moorhead Dental and Dental Care.
Fargo-Moorhead Dental & Dentures wouldn’t tell us why or where the employees left, only saying they hired new people.
