The great thing about this healthy smoothie is that it doesn’t taste like spinach. You won’t believe how the fruit covers the taste of the spinach even though it has 2 1/2 cups packed.

Even my kids love this smoothie! My daughter says it tastes like peaches. And I love that it’s a breakfast or lunch that I feel good about eating. No artificial flavors or colors, and it’s not a bunch of empty carbs (like some of those sugary cereals they love). Plus it keeps us full until lunch.

Making this smoothie is not easy! You don’t even have to chop the ingredients (I like to just mash the banana but you can actually leave it whole).

You just measure out the ingredients, throw everything into the blender (start with water first so it doesn’t squish and mess up the spinach) and blend! It should only take 30 seconds to mix, and less than 5 minutes from start (assembling and measuring) to finish (clean and ready to enjoy).

So here’s the thing, I’ve actually made this with almond milk and I like the water version better (believe it or not). The almond milk version almost seemed too much for me because with this amount of spinach it really thickens the liquid.

Plus here we add almonds and almonds, so it’s almost like you’re already making almond milk or almond milk after it’s blended. Try it with non-dairy milk if you insist (or juice if you wanted it really sweet) but I honestly don’t think it’s necessary.
