“A typical bodybuilder prepares for a show for 16 weeks, but I prepared for almost two years,” says JC. “It was all about health for me. It was about being alive and being with my child – the key moment was when I won the competition in August: I gave my son the medal.”

His goal now is to maintain an athletic physique year-round. For him, that means he has some biceps, some pectoral muscles, and slightly visible abs.
