Behind the building at Medical Plaza 2 there is a two-level garage, free parking. You can access the upper level from the hospital driveway or the lower level from Davis Street. You can also park just off Division Street in front of Medical Plaza 1 and use the bridge to get to Medical Plaza 2.

Urostym is a state-of-the-art, clinically based, non-invasive and non-surgical pelvic floor rehabilitation program developed by Laborie Medical. Urostym can help with the following problems: urinary incontinence (stress, urge or mixed), frequent or urgent urination, pelvic floor dysfunction/vaginism (painful intercourse due to tight pelvic floor muscles), faecal incontinence, constipation, urinary retention or difficulty emptying the bladder, prolapse of the pelvic organs, interstitial cystitis.

Urostym equipment provides pelvic floor therapy protocols. These protocols are very effective in increasing awareness of pelvic floor muscle contractions, assisting in identification and isolation of pelvic floor muscles, increasing the strength of pelvic floor muscle contraction, reducing unwanted or uninhibited bladder muscle contraction (spasm), and assisting in normalizing the relaxation of pelvic muscles.
The Urostym rehab issue is led by our team of nurses, nurse practitioners and physicians at Women’s Healthcare Associates. This is usually a weekly visit with one of our nurses for possibly 6-8 weeks. Some patients require fewer visits and others will require more. Changes in symptoms should be seen after 3-4 visits. Women’s Healthcare Associates uses state-of-the-art sonography machines. We have a 4-D imaging capability that views the image in 3-D in real time. We perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds. Our sonogram department is conveniently located on the second floor of our building in our Ancillary Services Department.
Hysteroscopy uses a small camera that is inserted into the uterine cavity. The camera is used to visualize the cavity for anomalies. This is useful in diagnosing and treating abnormal uterine bleeding that may be caused by polyps, fibroids, or other abnormal tissue. It can also be used to diagnose other abnormalities of the uterine cavity. This procedure can be performed in our office and does not require a hospital visit in most healthy patients.

This is an excellent treatment for heavy menstruation. This treatment permanently changes the ability of the lining of the uterus to grow. It is a minimally invasive procedure and can be performed on most healthy patients in our office without a hospital visit. For most women, menstruation either returns to normal, is much lighter, or stops completely. In most cases, this procedure is performed under light sedation in our office. Colposcopy uses a special microscope to visualize the cervix when the Pap smear is abnormal. This special microscope allows the doctor to see if there are any abnormal areas on the cervix that may need a biopsy. This is available in our procedure room.
We have a digital mammography machine that uses the latest digital technology to provide clear mammography images. We also have the ability to provide 3-D imaging, which provides a series of detailed images of the breast, allowing for a better assessment of the breast, layer by layer. This allows for breast cancer screening with much greater accuracy. We employ registered radiologic technologists to perform our mammograms. Our mammography department is conveniently located on the second floor of our building in our Ancillary Services Department.
There are many ways to perform a hysterectomy. A hysterectomy is the removal of the uterus through an incision in the abdomen, vagina, or through small incisions in the abdomen (laparoscopy). Some patients are candidates for a minimally invasive type of hysterectomy using a laparoscope or the DaVinci robotic system. The type of hysterectomy performed depends on many factors. All our doctors are trained to perform hysterectomies and will be happy to discuss the different methods.

Menopause causes a variety of symptoms. We know that this time of life can be difficult and are able to discuss and manage a variety of issues that affect women during this time, including hormone replacement therapy and non-hormonal treatments for common symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings and vaginal dryness.
Bone density screening is recommended for women age 65 or older or women who may have risk factors for osteoporosis. We have a bone densitometer located on the second floor of the WHA building in our ancillary services department.
We love babies at Women’s Healthcare Associates. We offer excellent prenatal care based on modern scientific recommendations and technology. Our goal is to have a healthy mother and baby.
Prevention is the key. Routine screening examinations are recommended. We are able to screen for many diseases and conditions during a routine gynecological examination.

We offer a variety of contraceptive options. Choices include oral contraceptives, other hormonal contraceptive devices such as vaginal ring, implantable rod, transdermal patch and progesterone-containing IUD, and non-hormonal contraceptive devices such as copper-containing IUD and permanent sterilization.
Our Endosee procedure allows us to perform a diagnostic hysteroscopy in a very short time and with very little discomfort for the patient. We use the handheld device to get a direct visualization of the uterus, which allows us to identify and accurately diagnose what the blind biopsy misses.
